I manage the Policy and Participation Team, working with the team to support the thematic networks (listed below) and the representatives that they elect to attend strategic meetings. I co-ordinate our facilitation of Voice – the network of networks – which makes sure that we have a voice in local decision making.

Policy and Participation Officer - BME (Black and Minority Ethnic) Agenda and Tameside Economic Development Network

I work with the Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities across Tameside, capacity building and providing support to groups. I help bring these groups together by facilitating the BME Network and the BME Women’s Network. I also facilitate the new Economic Development Network.

Policy and Participation Officer - Inter faith

I facilitate Faiths United (Tameside)which is the inter faith network committed to developing friendship, mutual understanding and respect through dialogue, networking and joint action by members of faith communities for the benefit of the whole community.

Veronica Hyde
Policy and Participation Officer - Families, children and young people's Agenda

I work with people who work with families, children, teenagers and young adults. I facilitate the Funky Lizard Network where groups can get together and support each other. Together we celebrate our contribution to the lives of people in Tameside. We learn together, making sure we access all available learning opportunities and get good information at the right time, and we ensure that we have a Voice at the Tameside Children’s Trust Board and other strategic meetings where decisions are made which affect us.

Support and Development Manager

My role is to manage the Support and Development Team and co-ordinate all enquiries from groups looking for help with getting your group set up, finding funding, managing your organisations, getting the right policies and procedures, training or any other issues.

Development Worker - Denton South

I’m the Community Development Worker for Denton South. I’m here to give general support to groups including advice on funding, training, capacity building and any other support to enable groups to run.

I work on the Support and Development Team and help voluntary and community groups to set up, access training and apply for funding!

Peter Denton
LINk Co-ordinator

I’m the project manager for Tameside LINk. It’s my job to support LINk members, Tameside LINk Board and work with the LINk’s partners to achieve the LINk outcomes.

Tahmena Khan
LINk Policy and Research Officer

I produce policy briefings on health and social care issues for the LINk and undertake relevant research like the latest LINk survey to find out what local people think about the health and social care services they receive.

I have responsibility for raising the awareness of LINk and the opportunities to become involved across Tameside, the recruitment of new members and informing the community of the activities LINk has undertaken.
